Here at the REACH lab, we focus on human performance and determining solutions that can improve quality of life
Each of our projects holds important lesson to how Biomedical engineering can improve the lives of people
Investigating the impacts of virtual reality training and visual stimuli on older adults' balance
We are using human participants from two age ranges; 18-38 and 60+ for this study. Our participants are instrumented with 12 EMG IMUs, and 38 markers for motion capture. The participants do a series of balance assessments consisting of the BessTest, timed up and go, sensory organization test, and a cognition assesment.Â
